Since our founding in 1927, our main brand, Yoshihiro Goh Umanosuke, has recently become popular overseas and has received many orders. We have inherited the 600-year history of Sakai cutlery, and we are confident in producing products with the skills of craftsmen cultivated during that history. Furthermore, in cooperation with other traditional craftsmen, we are also working on the development of products that other companies do not have. Kitchen knives, a traditional industry that Sakai is proud of, have now become a traditional industry that Japan is proud of, bearing the “Made in Japan” label. While feeling that responsibility, we will continue to devote ourselves to becoming a traditional industry that opens up the future.
