The Sakai 600-year tradition and the secret Persian Damascus manufacturing method are fused into a world-class, high-end product. The blade is made of beautifully patterned 16-layer Damascus steel with a hammered finish, and the edge of the blade is finished by local forging. The main steel is made of V-gold No. 10, the strongest rustproof steel in Japan. The handle is made of water-resistant mahogany laminated plywood. This further enhances the sense of high quality.
