"Sakai Uchihamono" has maintained its traditional shape and has long been loved for its functionality. These knives are carefully finished one by one by traditional craftsmen. The steel material is very durable, hard to chip, and very easy to sharpen. It is often used in Japanese cooking and Japanese cuisine, mainly for cutting fish and vegetables.

Sagemaru Takohiki is characterized by the slightly rounded edge of the blade. This shape allows for smooth cutting of food and prevents the tip of the knife from sticking to the food. It is suitable for delicate work such as thin slices of fish and fine cuts of vegetables.
